Multiple Levels of CATIA V5

Would you like to run multiple levels of CATIA V5 without clobbering the CATSettings directory? An easy way to do this is to redirect the location of the directory.

For example, if you want to run V5R6 and V5R7:

1. Create directories for both levels (i.e. d:\V5R6 and d:\V5R7)

2. Edit your environment using Start+Programs+CATIA+Tools+Environment Editor V5R7

3. Select desired environment and Edit from the panel that appears.

4. Change the following:
   

   CATUserSettingPath	d:\V5R7\CATSettings
   CATTemp	d:\V5R7\CATTemp
   CATReport	d:\V5R7\CATReport

5. Repeat for V5R6

6. The next time CATIA is started, the above directories will be created.
