North Texas CATIA Regional Users Group Report
By Jim Johnson
The North Texas CATIA RUG just hosted their most recent meeting May 3, 2002. The meeting was a day-long event featuring various presentations along with some business items and an open forum session. One key business item was a survey to determine the various interests of the RUG attendees for planning on future RUG meetings. V4 to V5 migration is a popular topic and the RUG would like to understand the current state of participating companies as well as a general time line for future V5 implementation in order to provide proper presentation material at the right time. A great deal of planning went into the May 3 RUG meeting and it was a very informative and useful event.
The agenda included the following topics:
- Digital Inspection presented by Shawn Hamell from Faro
- CATCMM presented by Chris Cripps from MSC Software
- V4 2 V5 Interoperability presented by Lee Harmon from IBM
- V5 CAT Settings presented by Luis Tovar from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company
- DELMIA Process Engineer presented by Deidra Donald from DELMIA
- Open Forum
- Business Items
- Mission Statement
- Code of Conduct
- Member Survey
