CATIA V5 certification has been completed by Dassault Systemes with IBM technical collaboration on several of the newest IBM IntelliStation models. Included in this round was the first IntelliStation Windows 2000 certification for those customers wanting to implement Version 5 on Windows 2000 Professional.

For extreme 3D graphics performance, a recent IBM IntelliStation certification was: IntelliStation 6868 (Pentium III M Pro) with the SONICblue Fire GL2 graphics. Phil Harrison, who benchmarked this configuration, was very impressed by the performance of the FireGL2 card. He was also impressed by its relative low cost.
