IX SPeeD® V5 Suite the Only Collaborative Design Solution Natively Interoperable with CATIA V5
ImpactXoft is excited to work with and support GLACOe activists. ImpactXoft hosted a presentation and live demo at the May 18th GLACOe meeting.
ImpactXoft provides a unique 3D design environment that enables Simultaneous Product Development. Our IX SPeeD V5 Suite is based on the CAAV5 platform, which makes it the only natively interoperable and collaborative solution for the CAAV5 ecosystem. Thanks to a functional approach to managing engineering design changes, IX SPeeD V5 offers companies the opportunity to improve innovation, accelerate the product development cycle, and reduce design costs.
As part of a unique strategic partnership, Dassault Systemes has invested 15% in ImpactXoft and secured the right to embed ImpactXoft's award-winning technologies inside the products of their PLM portfolio. In R12 of CATIA V5, users can now take advantage of ImpactXoft's IX Functional Modeling technology using CATIA's Functional Molded Part workbench. With the inclusion of ImpactXoft's IX Instant Participation technology in upcoming R14, all members of the extended CATIA product development enterprise will be able to work in parallel on the same design, sharing and merging their changes with ease.
Ace July Meeting
The Arizona CATIA Exchange (ACE) Regional User Group held its second meeting of the year hosted by Honeywell Engines, Systems & Services in Phoenix. The meeting was sponsored by CASA/SME Chapter 257 with the hope of getting more exposure in the user community. This first attempt did not achieve the attendance we had hoped for, but we will work at selecting a better day and time for our next meeting. We are tentatively planning our next meeting for sometime in October in hopes that those who attend the COE Industry Workshops will be bring back information to share with our local user community.
Bill North from Honeywell gave a presentation on Honeywell's product development process and discussed their plan to move to V5. Larry Gauthier from General Dynamics gave a presentation on a macro to insert a format (frame) into a drawing background and then edit text in a pop up panel. Dave Knoble from IBM gave a presentation on CATIA's multiprocessor capabilities. We finished off the evening we some lively roundtable discussions related to the evenings presentations.
We are looking forward to the COE 2005 Annual PLM Conference to be held here in Phoenix, Arizona on March 20-23, 2005.
Our contacts for this meeting are: Larry Gauthier, General Dynamics C4 Systems, 480-441-6691 and Bill North, Honeywell Engines, Systems & Services, 602-231-3193.
