News from ACE in Arizona
Colleen Kennedy - Krebs Engineering

The Arizona CATIA Exchange (ACE) regional users group met on April 26th. The meeting was held at Krebs Engineers in Tucson, Arizona.

A presentation was made by Kevin Soukup. He demonstrated methods to use Power Copies in R13 to construct smart piping systems. Standard catalog components had been documented in tabled power copy form, then inserted as separate part bodies with reference to pipe size and orientation constraints. The next presentation was by Colleen Kennedy. She reviewed some the coming changes in R14 from the presentation made at COE. These effect part, product and drawing mode.

Our guest speaker was Dustin Hanson from Intel. He informed the users on the Intel platform products, CATIA usage suggestions and discussed the advantages of the coming 64 bit operating systems. Our next meeting will be in the summer.
